Make Money Blogging

Congratulations on your decision to get into blogging! The average company that blogs gets 55% more visitors, has 97% more inbound links and 434% more indexed pages. Regardless of whether you are monetizing your blog for supplememntal income or an early retirement, this is a very lucrative decision that that has yielded some people $50-100k a year. For example, websites like perezhilton.com, telecrunch.com & huffingtonpost.com are making between $400,000 to $2,300,000 per month from monetizing their blogs. Earnings will vary based on how many visits your website is getting, amongst other factors, but it can take several weeks(if not months) before you start seeing any significant earnings. Here are a few important steps that will point you into the right direction:

Choose a profitable niche

This is probably the most important step of them all. In order to create a profitable website you have write about things that are in high demand so that you can sell or promote things that are in high demand. A good place to start here would be to use Forbes or Inc.com to search for the most profitable industries, or you can use a tool like Google Keyword Planner to find relevant search topics and queries and examine how they are performing in comparison to others.

Design your blog

What you want to do here is create a website that is visually appealing to your visitors. The first thing people will notice about your website is the way it is designed, and as the old adage goes, "First impressions are paramount!" If you don't want to pay a website designer then there are tools like Joomla that will help you design your blog, or if you are using Blogger or Wordpress, then there are thousands of pre-designed templates on websites like BPTemplates.com that you can choose from.

Build your audience

There are several different ways this can be done. You can promote your blog through other high ranking blogs and forums online, you can optimize your website to receive organic traffic from search engine queries or you can do direct marketing through social media platforms. I have personally favored Twitter so far over other social media networks to both find and network with cold leads because unlike other social media networks I can use Twitter to build a large targeted following in a shorter amount of time than any other social media platform without having to resort to paid ads. One of the best resources I know of for teaching these three strategies is here. Basic membership is free and you can start learning these three skills today if you choose to.

Convert leads into sales

The average person in the internet marketing industry will tell you that the best way to do this is by creating a squeeze page and setting up a automated email marketing campaign, but I honestly recommend a blog instead because it gives your visitors more options to choose from in engaging with you that might not be interested in the lead magnet that you offering and/or receiving unsolicited product offers through email(i.e SPAM). In addition, blogs also receive better search engine optimization than squeeze pages. Google won't allow you to send P.P.C ads to a squeeze page to promote your canned messages through email, and worst of all, Aweber and Mailchimp hates those canned messages as well! Why top ranked internet marketing gurus who make upwards of $10-40k a month using these same email marketing strategies are not getting their accounts taken away from them by these companies is far beyond my sense of understanding.....
